Our Seas and Coastlines

Glistening jelly-moulds of anemones on colour-striated geology, a base-boom of waves overlaid with a whistled peep-pip-hueep of an Oystercatcher. Beyond, the open sea with its raw beauty, a place we don’t yet fully understand. Everything calls to be painted. I feel the urgency and set up, ready to race the changing light and tide.

Where does our love of this place and its creatures come from? Is it something innate, or was it forged in the memories of childhood holidays? No matter, it runs through our veins like salt water. Today, this cherished place needs our protection.
